Scientific papers
Following the launch of the Aixplorer®, clinical studies performed worldwide using ShearWave™ Elastography have led to several scientific publications that report sound results. The studies were conducted in various clinical applications such as breast and prostate cancer, chronic diffuse diseases of the liver, musculoskeletal injuries, thyroid nodules…
As could be anticipated from our technological proprietary product features, these study results tend to demonstrate uniformly that firstly, the image acquisition process with Aixplorer, and more especially with ShearWave™Elastography, is far less user-skill dependent as compared with other techniques currently available, and secondly, these studies all tend to agree that ShearWave™Elastography improves the performance of the ultrasound diagnosis when it is combined with conventional ultrasound diagnostic criteria. This applies to several types of pathologies.
Most recent publications:
- ShearWave™ Elastography worldwide breast trial model: Can additional SWE-features support downgrading BIRADS 3 to BI-RADS 2’?
- Performance of Real-Time Elastography and Transient Elastography in the Assessment of Liver Fibrosis in Chronic Hepatitis
- Shearwave Elastography of Thyroid Nodules: Correlations with Cytological Data: Study about 157 Patients
