Michèle Lesieur

Michèle Lesieur, CEO of SuperSonic Imagine, has a strong expertise and experience in international healthcare companies, she was the President of Philips France and Head of Philips Healthcare in France. She has been appointed CEO of SuperSonic Imagine in November 2016.

Michèle Lesieur held various positions within the Philips group at domestic and international level. Over the last five years, she was the President of Philips France and Head of Philips Healthcare in France. Before that, Michèle spent five years in charge of Sales & Marketing for the group’s medical imaging systems at international level, after having spent six years heading the Philips Medical Systems division in France. Michèle Lesieur has substantial expertise in the consumer electronics and telecoms sectors, having been in turn Marketing Director of Philips Business Electronics France and Managing Director of a Philips Business Electronics department responsible for the international sales policy and development strategy. With a Masters degree in Physics from Paris XI University and a postgraduate degree in Optical Transmission and Signal Processing from the Institut Supérieur d’Optique, Michèle began her career in laboratories with the aim of developing video communication optical transmission systems.

Jacques Souquet

Jacques Souquet, Founder and Executive Vice President, Chief Strategic and Innovation Officer of SuperSonic Imagine, held the position of CEO of SuperSonic Imagine from its creation in 2005 to April 2015. 

An engineer of Supelec, a prestigious French institution, Ph.D. graduate of Stanford University, Jacques Souquet completed his thesis on non-destructive testing which allows the characterization of structures and materials without degradation. In 1978, he created his first company “ KYS, Inc.” and sold the technology to a company that created a microscope combining visual optics and acoustics. In 1981, he joined ATL Ultrasound, an American company based in Seattle, where he successfully occupied various posts such as Scientific Director of Cardiology, Strategic Marketing/Product Development Director, Vice-President of Product Generation, and finally Director of Scientific Research and Technology. It was at that moment that the idea of a portable ultrasound machine came to maturation.
In 1996, he then created a second company, SonoSite, which grew to a worldwide installed base of 90,000 ultrasound devices and became the third largest ultrasound company in the United States. SonoSite was later purchased by Fujifilm for 1 billion dollars.
From 2000 to 2005, he joined Philips Medical and became Director of Research and Scientific Development and Worldwide Senior Vice-President.
In 2005, Jacques Souquet founded SuperSonic Imagine, an ultrasound medical imaging company that markets a revolutionary ultrasound platform.
Jacques Souquet holds 10 patents in the field of acoustic imaging. He is the inventor of the multiplane transesophageal echo probe, which is still widely used in echocardiography examinations.

Kurt Kelln

Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing and Chief Business Officer of SuperSonic Imagine. He is responsible for advancing all of SuperSonic Imagine’s key strategic and commercial partnerships as well as driving the company’s global sales growth.

He has 34 years of professional experience, 25 of which were spent as a sales manager in the ultrasound sector. International Vice President of Ultrasound and Women’s Health at Philips Healthcare for 8 years, he managed one of the largest and most successful ultrasound marketing and sales team in the industry. Earlier, he held a number of positions with Philips Medical System, where he was responsible for sales in the EMEA zone.

Kurt Kelln began his career at Intermec Corporation (USA) as a production analyst, responsible for product planning, before joining ATL Ultrasound Systems in Europe, where he was responsible for managing sales and budgets for 10 years.

Kurt Kelln holds a degree in Business Administration from the University of Washington (USA); he participated in the “High Potential” program designed for outstanding managers of Philips Healthcare.

Elisabeth WINTER

Executive Vice President and Financial Director of SuperSonic Imagine

Elisabeth graduated from the Business School of Marseille (KEDGE) and holds a master degree in chartered accounting. She started her career in banking where she occupied various responsibilities. She then joined the NGO Action contre la Faim as the Administrator in missions in Eastern Africa and the Caucasus. After returning to France, she joined the Fondation de France and then Fondation Caisse d’Épargne pour la solidarité as Finance and Administration Manager. In 2012, she joined SuperSonic Imagine as Finance and Administration Director where she supervised the accounting and financial activities and successfully conducted the Initial Public Offering of the company in April 2014. Elisabeth Winter was appointed as Executive Vice-President and joined the Directory Board of the company in June 2016.
